It is an absolutely brilliant game Jeff. unfortunately i'm getting too long in the tooth to play any more. not to mention that there is a bit of a hurling drought in south Texas...
I spent a good amount of time in Cork years ago, the Bishopstown area, mostly. Saw quite a few kids who were fanatics for hurling. I was impressed with all the non-stop running they did.
I also happened to catch a rugby match between Cork Constitution and Dublin St. Mary's. Pretty good stuff.
